Sidoarjo - Selasa, 21 Januari 2025, bertempat di lahan persawahan Desa Bakungtemenggungan, Kecamatan Balongbendo, Kabupaten Sidoarjo, telah dilaksanakan penanaman jagung serentak 1 juta hektar secara virtual. Kegiatan ini merupakan program nasional ketahanan pangan yang dipimpin oleh Menteri Pertanian RI bekerja sama dengan Kepolisian RI.

Acara dihadiri Kapolresta Sidoarjo Kombes Pol Christian Tobing, Dandim 0816 Sidoarjo Letkol Inf Dedyk Wahyu Widodo, perwakilan Bupati Sidoarjo, Wakil Kepala Bulog Surabaya, serta jajaran pemerintah daerah dan kelompok tani setempat.

Rangkaian kegiatan meliputi pelaksanaan penanaman jagung secara virtual bersama Menteri Pertanian dan Kapolri, sambutan dari Kapolda Jatim terkait benih jagung unggul “Bhayangkara,” dan penanaman simbolis oleh para pejabat. Selain itu, dilakukan penebaran 525 benih ikan gurami di lokasi Program P2B sebagai bentuk diversifikasi pangan.
